EPSA has embarked on the process of acquiring an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline, automate and integrate business processes that will promote organisational collaboration and undoubtedly increase efficiency, which is the goal. EPSA supported by Deloitte conducted a current state assessment of both business processes and IT infrastructure. From the assessment, it was noted that the IT infrastructure at EPSA requires an upgrade, including Data centre design, network (LAN/WAN) installation at head office and 19 branches in order to integrate interdependent processes and to use it as the main platform for the ERP system to be implemented.
As part of its improved efficiency and growth, EPSA plans to build a modular data centre at its Head office in Addis Ababa to house the Servers, Network Equipment, and Internet core equipment.
Considering that data center infrastructure is the heartbeat of any organization, EPSA intends to set up a data center infrastructure that will have a modern facility built on state-of-the-art technology and that measures up to best practices in the industry.
